The author reviews English-language research on television and children and adolescents, then presents a master bibliography of 3,000 works written between 1955 and 1980. This bibliography is also broken down into 13 specialized lists, including topics such as television violence, prosocial television, advertising, role portrayals, cognitive development, audience patterns, viewing processes, and action taken. © Center on Media and Child Health
