Emily Pluhar, PhD, is an Instructor of Pediatrics, as well as a Clinical Pediatric Psychologist, in the Division of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Pluhar is also the Associate Director of the STEP clinic, which treats pediatric patients suffering from Binge Eating Disorder. She is the co-founder of the Clinic for Interactive Media and Internet Disorders (CIMAID), in which she provides cutting edge Dialectical Behavior Therapy for youth suffering from Problematic Interactive Media Use. Dr. Pluhar also has extensive experience educating healthcare professionals and medical students, and is involved in developing curriculum for clinicians working specifically with adolescent populations. Her domains of expertise include Dialectical Behavior Therapy, non-suicidal self-injury, pediatric obesity, and problematic interactive media use.
