Parents

Parents face many challenges associated with raising healthy, happy, educated, and socially responsible children. Media can help in this process, but, used without thought, media can also work against parents’ best efforts. The average American child spends more time and engages more with media than with his or her parents. This represents an opportunity if children experience educational and pro-social media, but indiscriminate use of media for entertainment can lead to potential harm to your child’s physical, mental, and social health. Learn what the scientific research shows about the risks and the potential benefits of media use as you raise your child.

For more information talk to your child’s pediatrician and teacher.
