CMCH Media Literacy Lesson Plans

Media surround us: televisions in store displays, music on the school bus, computers in classrooms, and advertisements everywhere we look. While research has shown a number of risks associated with media use, CMCH realizes that it is unrealistic to shield children from all media.

We offer these media literacy lesson plans so that teachers can encourage and practice media literacy in their classrooms. While much responsibility for their students' media use rests with their parents' practices at home, teachers can equip students with the necessary skills to think critically about the media messages they encounter.
