With the seemingly constant release of new video games and systems, video game sales are projected to top music sales next year.  According to a Kaiser Family Foundation survey, 60% of kids between 8 and 18 play interactive games every day, 30% of whom play for more than an hour a day.  But there are some kids who seem to play all day, to the detriment of their studies, physical activity, and social lives, making parents wonder if they are actually addicted.

When the American Medical Association met this past weekend, they reviewed a proposal to designate video game addiction as an official diagnosis, but many members opposed the idea

CMCH has compiled a list of studies on video game addiction , but there has not been enough research yet to come to any conclusions.
