Last week, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) released a new "yearbook" of contributions from researchers on the topic of media and young people.  In the Service of Young People? Studies and Reflections on Media in the Digital Age is divided into two parts. 

The first part contains articles by researchers around the world about their views on the current media environment of children.  The second part compiles descriptions of efforts being made to encourage media literacy and media production among young people.
