These three issue briefs provide an outline of selected research findings on the relationship between electronic media use—specifically, the Internet—and:
- Depression in youth
- Internet addiction in youth
- Brain development in youth
By identifying research trends, CMCH is able to raise awareness of the importance of digital media in the lives of youth, and to influence the research field to examine these relationships between digital media and the health of youth. By dividing the research into these three categories, the gaps and overlaps become evident, and allow us to target future research to expand upon our preliminary findings.
These issue briefs were created with support from the Norlien Foundation.
